Day wise Itinerary

1.DAY 1


Kochi Arrival

Experience the Serenity

Board flight / train from home-town and reach Kochi by morning/noon hours. After collecting luggage, we will drive to one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerala, 'Cherai Beach', which is rightly called the 'Princess of the Arabian Sea'. Upon arriving at Cherai, check in to the Hotel and relax. Go for a leisure walk on the beach and spend your evening by admiring sunset of Arabian Sea. You may take a ride on water-scooter and speedboat to go for dolphin watch. Rejuvenate yourself at swimming pool and ayurvedic spa inside the resort. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and go for a good night's sleep.

2.Day 2


Alleppey (Houseboat)

The Mesmerizing Backwater

Wake up in the beautiful combination of sea and backwaters rimmed by lush green coconut palms and paddy fields. Post breakfast, drive down to the beautiful backwater of Alleppey to discover the most fascinating 'Water World on Earth'. Still more romantically known as Alleppey, Allapuzza is home to a vast network of waterways and more than 1000 houseboats. Wondering around the small and serene villages, meandering canals and rivers, you will undoubtedly agree to the sobriquet - Venice of the East, earned by Alappuzha.

Upon reaching check-in to a beautiful Houseboat and enjoy lunch. Spend some time gazing at graceful and greenery-fringed village life along the banks. In the afternoon, float around in the splendour of the sparkling water and enjoy a memorable evening in the mesmerizing beauty of the setting sun.

3.DAY 3


Munnar

An Enthralling Drive to Munnar

In the morning hour, enjoy an authentic kerala style breakfast and then proceed towards Munnar which is around 3 hour drive through enthralling waterfalls, lakes and tea plantation. We will stop for a tour of spice garden. From the historical time Munnar is an important trade center for spice for which Portuguese, Dutch, and British invaded our land for years. In the afternoon, we will reach Munnar, a haven of peace and tranquility, means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Post check in to the hotel, you are free to explore Munnar town at your own pace.

4.DAY 4


Munnar

Highlands Of Munnar

In the morning you will discover yourself in the misty morning of Munnar. Walk through the Tea gardens and enjoy the view of lash green mountains around you. Today we will visit some of the famous sightseeing places around Munnar.

Tea Factory: The museum set up at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea in Munnar is a tribute to the toils and rigours of its pioneers, who showed utmost determination to transform Munnar into a major tea plantation centre of Kerala. Know about various stages of tea processing and making of green and black tea.

Idukki Arch Dam: The Periyar River flows through a valley formed by two massive rocks called Kuravan and Kurathi. The Idukki Arch Dam is Asia's first arch dam and it is so massive that it spans the whole gorge. On one side is the calm reservoir and on the other one can hear the roar of the waters as it plummets into the dense valley. You can go for a river boating in the beautiful lake.

Kathakali Dance Performance: Kerala is the home of several traditional dance and dance - drama forms, the most notable being Kathakali. Kathakali is a blend of dance, music and acting and dramatizes stories, which are mostly adapted from the Indian epics - Ramayana and Mahabharata. Enjoy a spectacular performance of Kathakali in the evening at Munnar.

5.DAY 5


Kochi

Drive down to Kochi

Today, post breakfast by 10 am morning, we will drive down to Kochi. It will take 3 hours to reach Kochi. We will visit some famous places in Kochi.

Dutch Palace: This Palace was built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Cochin in 1555 A.D. Though built by the Portuguese, it is popularly known as the 'Dutch Palace' as the Dutch renovated it during their short reign here. The palace is well known for the mural paintings that adorn its walls. These paintings represent scenes from the epics Ramayana and Mahabharatha. These paintings cover nearly 300 sq. feet of wall surface. In the central courtyard of the Palace is the temple dedicated to Panhayannur Bhagavathi. Jewish Synagogue: or the Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. It was built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudan people or Cochin Jewish community in the Kingdom of Cochin. The synagogue is located in the quarter of Old Cochin known as Jew Town. In the evening, proceed to hotel for check in.

5.DAY 5


Good Bye Kerala

Return to the Den

Today, after morning breakfast, we will proceed towards airport to board flight back to home. Bid good bye to your new friends and take with you the memories of mesmerizing Kerala.
